My impression is that more and more people in the UK are extremely cynical about what's left of a political system that is heavily skewed towards the globalists, as evidenced by this political commentator/comedian. Despite being cancelled by the mainstream for wrong think this type of attitude is growing imo

'Under the relentless thrust of accelerating overpopulation and increasing over-organization, and by means of ever more effective methods of mind-manipulation, the democracies will change their nature; the quaint old forms -- elections, parliaments, Supreme Courts and all the rest -- will remain. The underlying substance will be a new kind of non-violent totalitarianism. All the traditional names, all the hallowed slogans will remain exactly what they were in the good old days. Democracy and freedom will be the theme of every broadcast and editorial -- but democracy and freedom in a strictly Pickwickian sense. Meanwhile the ruling oligarchy and its highly trained elite of soldiers, policemen, thought-manufacturers and mind-manipulators will quietly run the show as they see fit.'

He’s sold out locally already!! And yes - we are very aware of the 30% who either don’t know or won’t vote. We also need to hear policy which is thin on the ground.

I agree. That is the opportunity for the right people to give their time and valuable guidance - as in not sell.

In my last story I suggested getting away from the coin operated Big 4 consultants and listening to SMEs. This is another area where politicians struggle yet it's where the most valuable information and help can be found. IMO.

Well-written. People are with you on this but if we have this 'new New' Labour team in they must focus equally on waste in government/NHS spending, alongside a more fair and balanced approach to funding local government, rational immigration policy and re-entering EU (stealth steps)!

There are plenty of ways that savings and efficiencies can be made without costing much, if anything at all. The question in my mind is always this: do they have the understanding of people delivering services such that savings can be made? The answer all too often is 'no.'

The economical concept built on so-called service economy is a fallacy. We need diversity but key sectors such as energy availability including coal, gas and nuclear need to be self-sufficient. In plain words, I'm proposing to look again on re-opening the coal mines and have enough energy to support manufacturing.

Good idea. Again it needs a Cabinet Minister to make the change - opening up opportunities for SMEs. I think Labour will listen and act on that.
