It’s all a matter of perspective
Modelling armoured fighting vehicles is fun. Sometimes it results in hilarity. Here’s an example that might resonate with some of my old coding chums.
The other week I announced that I would refrain from adding to my stash of some 20+ kits for a few months. I should have known that was a stupid thing to say.
A day or to later I saw someone’s build of Ferdinand 15100 (pictured above) and almost immediately caved. It’s an amazing example that includes 30 plus decals to go over the red oxide primer paint. For me it will make an entertaining change to my obsession with Soviet green and beaten up WWII German tanks.
But when I read the detailed instructions I came across this page which includes the construction of a closed box inside which are six pioneer tools.
Going to one of my tank forums I asked - what’s the point? Because if I’m the only person who knows what’s in the box then short of having an x-ray superpower it seems rather pointless.
One wag had a great answer:
It surely is…as some of my old coding chums might recognise.
